Match Masters Trophies & Leagues: How to Climb Faster

More Match Masters trophies bring more than a higher league. Every rank you reach in a season gives its own prizes, and the higher your rank, the better your prizes and Season End Rewards. New modes, events and boosters also unlock as you collect trophies. Once you know how trophies, ranks and seasons work, you can climb faster and collect more of these rewards.

Here you’ll find how many trophies each league needs, the season rules that decide where you start next season, and practical tips to win more trophies from every match.

Match Masters Trophies and Leagues: Quick Guide

  • Trophy Road (0–3,999 trophies): A new studio opens every few hundred trophies, from Jungle Jam at 200 to Multiplier Mushrooms at 3,500.
  • Seasonal Leagues (4,000+): Six leagues, from Master to Ultimate Legends, each with 10 ranks.
  • Promotion: Reach Rank 10 (marked with a PASS icon) before the season ends, and you move up one league when the next season starts.
  • Season end: League changes happen only when the season ends. Your trophies reset, you start the new season from the beginning of your league, and you get the Season End Rewards for your rank.
  • Demotion: The official rules list a demotion zone only for Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends. A SAFE icon marks the rank you need to stay in your league.
  • Stars: 2–3 stars for a win (3 for a Landslide Win) and 1 for a loss. Stars help your team, but they don’t move you up the leagues.
  • Trophy boosts: On Fire doubles the trophies from wins (from 4,000 trophies). The Booster Stakes Multiplier multiplies them by the number of boosters you stake (from the Grand Master League).

How Trophies Work in Match Masters

Trophies are the game’s ranking currency, and your total decides your unlocks, your rank and your league. You get trophies for every win and lose some for every loss.

You always lose fewer trophies than a win gives you, so you can keep climbing even if you lose some matches. Both amounts change as you move up the leagues, and the trophy progression screen shows them for your current rank.

The trophy bar on the Home tab shows your trophy count and league. Tap the bar, and the trophy progression screen opens. There you’ll find:

  • Your league and rank: For example, Supreme Legend 7.
  • Progress bar: The bar on the left fills up as you climb. If you drop from your highest point this season, the part you lost shows in red, so you can see both your climb and your drop.
  • Rank prizes: Each rank has its own prizes, and higher ranks give better ones. A green tick marks the prizes you’ve already collected.
  • Win and loss values: How many trophies a win gives and a loss takes at your current rank.
  • LEAGUE ENDS IN: The countdown to the end of the season.
  • PASS: The icon on Rank 10, the rank that moves you up to the next league.
  • SAFE: The icon that shows whether you keep your league at the next reset.

Losing vs. Giving Up

Giving up doesn’t save you anything. It costs the same trophies as a normal loss, and you lose your booster just the same. The only difference is the star: a normal loss gives you 1 star, but giving up gives you no star.

Match Masters result screens side by side: a normal loss with trophies lost and 1 star, and a match the player gave up with the same trophies lost and no stars

Trophy Road: The First 4,000 Trophies

Below 4,000 trophies, you’re on the Trophy Road. New studios open as you climb: Jungle Jam at 200 trophies, then Dustville Duel, Funky Tiles, Plunder Pirates, Bombs Away, Candy World, Gem Grab, Hot Color, Color Crystals and, at 3,500 trophies, Multiplier Mushrooms. Each studio has its own rule. Our Match Masters game modes guide explains all of them with their exact unlock levels.

Your first goal is 4,000 trophies. That’s where the Seasonal Leagues, On Fire and Daily Mode begin.

What Multiplies Your Trophies

  • On Fire: From 4,000 trophies, win three matches in a row and every win pays double trophies and coins until your next loss. Our On Fire guide shows how to keep the streak going.
  • Booster Stakes Multiplier: From the Grand Master League, you can stake extra copies of a Diamond, Legendary or SE booster. A win multiplies your stars, trophies, coins and event points by the number of boosters you stake. You can go up to x3 in Grand Master and Supreme Master, and up to x5 from the Legends League.
  • Stake bonus and risk: A win at x3 or higher also activates On Fire right away, even without a streak. A loss costs the staked boosters, so read how Booster Shields and stakes work first.
  • Party: In Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends, Party matches give no coins but more trophies. Each player gains or loses trophies based on where they finish.

Trophies From Event Prizes

Matches aren’t the only source. Many events list trophies among their prizes, such as Booster Run or a tournament. The event card in the Events tab shows the prizes before you join.

Event cards show their prizes, including trophies. The tournament here is non-ranked.

Where You Don’t Earn Trophies

  • Booster Clash: No trophies here. You play for your opponent’s booster, plus stars.
  • Non-ranked tournament matches: Tournament matches normally give stars and trophies, but non-ranked ones don’t give trophies per match. You can spot them by the non-ranked icon on the event card. The tournament’s own prizes can still include trophies.

Match Masters League List and Trophy Requirements

At 4,000 trophies, you enter the Seasonal Leagues. There are six leagues: three Master leagues and three Legend leagues. Each has its own trophy range, its own prizes and 10 ranks to climb.

LeagueStarts atPrizes up toRank 10 at

Grand Master10,00050,00020,000

Supreme Legends40,000300,00090,000
Ultimate Legends90,0001,000,000Top league

All numbers are trophies. Rank 10 moves you to the next league in the table when the new season starts. In every league except Ultimate Legends, Rank 10 is the trophy count where the next league begins, for example 10,000 trophies in Master. The official Match Masters help page on Seasonal Leagues lists the same thresholds.

“Prizes up to” is the end of the league’s trophy progression. Once you pass it, you’ve collected every prize that league has for the season, and new prizes come with the next season.

Ranks and Seasons: How to Move Up a League

A season lasts one month, and each league has 10 ranks that you climb with trophies. If you reach Rank 10 before the season ends, you start the next season in the league above.

The trophy progression screen marks this rank for you. The Rank 10 tile carries a PASS icon. In Supreme Legends, its note reads “Reach this rank to qualify for the Ultimate Legend League at the next league reset”.

The PASS icon marks Rank 10, the rank that moves you up a league.

Two rules are easy to miss:

  • Your highest rank counts: The highest rank you reach before the season ends decides your placement for the next season. A few losses after reaching Rank 10 don’t take the promotion away.
  • League changes wait for the season end: Reaching Rank 10 early doesn’t move you up mid-season. Your new league starts with the next season.

More trophies don’t mean a bigger jump: You can move up only one league per season. Even if you collect far more trophies than Rank 10 needs, you still move up just one league, for example from Master to Grand Master.

In the Legend leagues, reaching Rank 10 also puts a crown on your profile picture, and it stays there until the season ends.

The trophy progression screen also has a HOW DOES IT WORK? page that sums up the rules of your current league: how far you need to climb to move up, and where the demotion line is.

League Demotion and the SAFE Icon

The official league rules list a demotion zone only for the two top leagues. In the Legends League, you simply stay there if you don’t reach Rank 10.

  • Supreme Legends: If you don’t reach Rank 3 (55,000 trophies) before the season ends, you drop to the Legends League. Reach it, and you stay in Supreme Legends.
  • Ultimate Legends: If you don’t reach Rank 4 (150,000 trophies) before the season ends, you drop to Supreme Legends. Reach it, and you stay in Ultimate Legends.

Like promotion, demotion happens only when the season ends. A losing streak can’t drop you to a lower league in the middle of a season.

On the trophy progression screen, the rank you need is easy to find. Its tile carries a SAFE icon and the note “Reach this rank to remain in the Supreme Legend League at the next league reset”. In Supreme Legends, that’s Rank 3.

The SAFE icon marks the rank that keeps you in your league.

Once you reach that rank, the SAFE icon at the bottom right of the screen confirms it. Tap it, and the game shows “Remain in the Supreme Legend League at the next league reset”.

Check before the last days: In Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends, open the trophy progression screen a few days before the season ends. If the SAFE icon isn’t there yet, you still have time to collect the trophies you need.

Season End: Trophy Reset and Rewards

When a season ends, the game applies league changes, resets your trophies and gives you your Season End Rewards.

Trophy Reset

Your trophies always reset at the end of a season, and you start the new season from the beginning of your league. That’s the next league if you reached Rank 10, the lower league if you dropped, or the same league again.

Rank Prizes and Season End Rewards

There are two kinds of league prizes. Rank prizes come during the season, each time you reach a new rank. Season End Rewards come after the reset, but you can see them in advance. Tap the box icon on a rank tile, and it shows the Season End Rewards for that rank.

Tap the box on a rank tile to see its Season End Rewards. The green arrow marks better rewards than your current rank’s.

The higher the rank you reach, the better your Season End Rewards. A green arrow on a box marks a rank with better rewards than your current one.

On your current rank, the box also shows Get Them In: the time left until you get the rewards. Check them a few days before the season ends, because one more rank can still improve them.

When the new season starts, check whether there’s a game update. Your Season End Rewards are waiting when you open the game after the reset. If they don’t appear right away, give them some time: they can take a little while to arrive.

When Does the Season End?

A season lasts a month, but you don’t need to guess the date. The LEAGUE ENDS IN countdown at the bottom of the trophy progression screen shows the time left.

The Seasonal Album starts and ends on the same days as the league season. It has its own timer, and a new album starts with the new season. Our Match Masters stickers guide shows how to get the stickers you’re missing in time.

Stars and Landslide Wins

Stars are a second progress currency next to trophies. You earn them in every match, and they count toward team rewards and star events, not toward your league.

  • Win: 2 or 3 stars.
  • Landslide Win: 3 stars. You get it by beating your opponent by more than 30% of their score, or automatically when your opponent concedes.
  • Loss: 1 star.
  • Giving up: No star, and a loss caused by a technical issue gives none either.

A player only counts as conceding when they wave the white flag and leave the match. The white flag emote on its own doesn’t count. Some players send it and keep playing, so don’t count on an easy win: play your best moves until the match ends.

Stars in Other Modes

  • Match Rumble: With 10–20 players, you get 1 star for surviving one round, 2 for two rounds and 3 for winning the Rumble. With 30–50 players, you get 1, 2 or 3 stars for surviving one, two or three rounds.
  • Party: 1 star in the red zone, 2 in the green zone and 3 for the grand winner.
  • Solo modes: Every milestone gives a star, such as each safe in Perfect Heist or each planet in Cosmic Rush. You get these stars without a post-game animation.

What Stars Are For

  • Your team: Your team’s progress is the total of all teammates’ stars, and more stars mean a better weekly Team Box. See our Match Masters teams guide.
  • Star Race: A timed event with a star leaderboard and prizes.
  • Friends Fiesta: The stars your invited friends earn fill the shared Friends Fiesta bar. Our invite friends guide explains the rewards.

The Booster Stakes Multiplier also multiplies stars, while On Fire doesn’t.

How to Get Trophies Faster

There’s no shortcut that skips the leagues, but these habits help you get more trophies from the matches you play:

  • Play the strongest booster for your league: Legendary and SE boosters unlock in the Legends League, so from there you face stronger booster types more often. In our matches in the Legend leagues, S-Tier boosters give a better chance to win, so think carefully before you pick a lower-tier booster. Our booster tier list shows which ones rank highest.
  • Join events with good trophy prizes: Some tournaments and events pay more trophies than normal matches. Check the prizes on the event card before you join.
  • Protect your On Fire streak: Every win pays double trophies while you’re On Fire, and the first loss ends it. Play your most reliable booster during a streak.
  • Restart On Fire with an x3 win: From the Grand Master League, one win at x3 or higher brings On Fire back right away after a loss. You don’t need three new wins in a row. Our On Fire guide explains when an x3 win is worth the risk.
  • Stake only boosters you can spare: A win at x2 or higher multiplies your trophies, but a loss costs the staked boosters. Count your Booster Shields before you raise the multiplier.
  • Read the mode before you pick a booster: Tap the tooltip to check the rules and modifiers of the day, then choose a booster and perks that fit them.
  • Play Booster Clash for boosters, not trophies: It gives no trophies, so it won’t help your rank.
  • Don’t give up a match: It costs the same trophies and booster as a normal loss, but you get no star. If you play on, you get at least 1 star.
  • Push before the season ends: In the last days, check your rank and, in the top two leagues, the SAFE icon. One more rank also means better Season End Rewards.

Match Masters Trophies and Leagues FAQ

How many trophies do you need for each league in Match Masters?

Master starts at 4,000 trophies, Grand Master at 10,000, Supreme Master at 20,000, the Legends League at 30,000, Supreme Legends at 40,000 and Ultimate Legends at 90,000. You move up one league per season by reaching Rank 10.

How many trophies do you get for a win in Match Masters?

It depends on your league and rank. You lose trophies when you lose a match, but always fewer than a win gives you, and both values change as you climb. The trophy progression screen shows the exact win and loss values for your current rank. On Fire doubles the trophies from wins, and the Booster Stakes Multiplier multiplies them by the number of boosters you stake.

Do trophies reset in Match Masters?

Yes. At the end of every season, your trophies reset and you start the new season from the beginning of your league: the next league if you reached Rank 10, the lower league if you dropped, or the same league again.

When does the Match Masters season end?

Each season lasts a month. The LEAGUE ENDS IN countdown at the bottom of the trophy progression screen shows exactly how much time is left. The Seasonal Album ends on the same day.

Can you skip a league in Match Masters?

No. You can move up only one league per season, no matter how many trophies you collect.

What is a Landslide Win in Match Masters?

A Landslide Win gives you 3 stars. You get it by beating your opponent by more than 30% of their score, or when your opponent concedes.

Do stars help you move up the leagues?

No. Your league depends on your trophies. Stars count toward your team’s progress, the weekly Team Box and star events such as Star Race.

What is the highest league in Match Masters?

Ultimate Legends, which starts at 90,000 trophies. To stay there, reach Rank 4 (150,000 trophies) before the season ends.

Can you be demoted in Match Masters?

The official rules list demotion only for the two top leagues, and league changes happen only at the end of a season. In Supreme Legends, you drop to the Legends League if you don’t reach Rank 3 (55,000 trophies) before the season ends. In Ultimate Legends, you drop to Supreme Legends if you don’t reach Rank 4 (150,000 trophies). The SAFE icon on the trophy progression screen shows whether you’re safe.
