Match Masters SE Boosters List: Abilities & How to Get Them

SE (Special Edition) boosters are upgraded versions of boosters you probably know already, like Sweep It! and The Jelly. Match Masters has 8 SE boosters right now, and you start seeing them once you reach the Legends leagues. In this Match Masters SE boosters list, we cover what each one does, how to unlock and get them, the official SE Box odds, and which copies are worth saving.

Only two SE boosters make S-Tier in our Match Masters booster tier list: Sweep It SE and Jelly SE. UFO SE, Vinnie Valentine SE, and Foxy Roxy SE sit lower on normal days, but each has a Booster Power Up version. When a Power Up event includes one of them, every copy you own becomes the stronger version for the length of the event, strong enough to stand up to S-Tier boosters. Power Up events are only for players in Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends.

What Are SE Boosters in Match Masters?

Every SE booster starts from a normal booster and keeps its main effect, then adds something on top: a broom, a jelly area, spray cans, bandits. That extra piece is why SE boosters often keep paying off after the first activation. Most of the originals are Diamond boosters, but not all of them: The Jelly is Silver and Sweep It! is Gold.

• Activation: all 8 SE boosters charge with 7 blue pieces. That includes Sweep It SE, even though the original Sweep It! needs only 6.
• If you lose: the SE booster you played is used up; there’s no cooldown like Bronze and Silver boosters have. A Booster Shield saves it: the Shield is used up only when you lose and stays with you when you win. Our Boosters Guide explains Shields in detail.
• Stakes: SE boosters can be staked with the Booster Stakes Multiplier, up to x5 from the Legends League, for multiplied rewards and a multiplied risk.

SE Booster Unlock Requirements

SE boosters open in the Legends leagues: Legends League, Supreme Legends, and Ultimate Legends. Before that, you climb through Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond boosters. Once an SE booster is unlocked, you can buy it with coins from the booster selection page.

• A new SE booster can look inactive. When a booster is released and your level already qualifies, its slot may still look locked because you don’t own a single copy yet. Get it once, from an event, a sale, a box, or another reward, and it works like the rest of your collection.
• The free Lucky Box won’t give SE boosters. It only contains Bronze to Diamond Tier 3 boosters you’ve already unlocked.
• Your league changes your odds. SE Box and Random SE Booster odds differ between Legends League, Supreme Legends, and Ultimate Legends (see the odds table below).

Try an SE Booster Free in Booster Run

If you want to see how an SE booster plays before you risk your own copies, keep an eye on the Booster Run event. It hands you a free booster, sometimes an SE one, plus extra perks, and each level is played in a different game mode. A lost level only costs one of your 3 lives, never a booster from your inventory. The full rules are in our Boosters Guide.

The boosters below are ordered from strongest to weakest in our tier list. Effects are based on the official in-game descriptions and what we see in our own matches.

1. Sweep It SE

Upgrades: Sweep It! (Gold) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: S

Effect: Sweeps pieces to the side and drops small brooms on the board: 2 the first time you activate it in a round, 1 more on every later activation. Swap a broom with a neighboring piece and every piece of that color is swept to the edge of the board in the direction of your swap.

Tip: The direction of your swap decides which edge the whole color ends up on, so check which side sets up your next match before you move a broom.

2. Jelly SE

Upgrades: The Jelly (Silver) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: S

Effect: The first activation removes pieces, then spreads a new jelly area on the board. Make a match inside that area and its pieces turn into the color you matched, giving you extra moves and special pieces.

Tip: The value comes from matches inside the jelly area, so look for a move there first before you match elsewhere on the board.

3. UFO SE

Upgrades: UFO (Diamond Tier 1) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: A (can reach S during Power Up)

Effect: Abducts pieces like the original UFO, then tracks the next pieces you match and captures its next target.

Tip: UFO SE gets a much stronger version during Booster Power Up. If you play in Supreme Legends or Ultimate Legends, keep some copies for those events.

4. Vinnie Valentine SE

Upgrades: Vinnie Valentine (Diamond Tier 3) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: A (can reach S during Power Up)

Effect: Shoots two-colored hearts that can be matched with either color. Join two hearts together to clear four colors from the board.

Tip: Joining two hearts is the big payoff, so don’t spend a heart on a small match if you can line up a second one. Vinnie Valentine SE also gets a Booster Power Up version.

5. All Aboard SE

Upgrades: All Aboard (Diamond Tier 2) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: A

Effect: Picks out every yellow piece and sends trains to the left or right. Bandits then jump off the train; match them and they drop dynamite that explodes blue or red pieces.

Tip: Like All Aboard, it can’t activate if there are no yellow pieces on the board. Check for yellow before you fill the booster bar.

6. El Magneto SE

Upgrades: El Magneto (Diamond Tier 3) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: A

Effect: El Magneto SE’s magnets pull pieces toward all four sides of the board, lining pieces up along the edges for new matches.

7. Foxy Roxy SE

Upgrades: Foxy Roxy (Diamond Tier 2) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: B (can reach S during Power Up)

Effect: Sprays and connects random colors like the original, then gives you spray cans. Use one to turn any row or column into a matching color, depending on the direction you spray.

Tip: Foxy Roxy SE is only average on normal days but gets a much stronger Booster Power Up version, so it’s a good copy to save for Power Up events.

8. Doctor Color SE

Upgrades: Doctor Color (Diamond Tier 3) | Activation: 7 blue pieces | Our tier: B

Effect: Changes pieces on the board to match another color, leaving you with loads of same-colored pieces for special matches.

Tip: It may be restricted if you use the Checkerboard perk first and not enough colors are left on the board.

Booster Power Up: Which Boosters Get Stronger?

Booster Power Up isn’t only for SE boosters. It’s a limited-time event that Candivore runs for selected boosters, and four boosters can get it: UFO SE, Vinnie Valentine SE, Foxy Roxy SE, and the Legendary booster Billie Boom. An event can cover one of them or several at once. In the event we played in September 2026, all four were powered up at the same time.

• Who gets it: only players in Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends.
• How it works: you don’t need to do anything. Every copy of an included booster in your inventory becomes the powered-up version while the event runs, with a new look and a stronger activation. When the event ends, your copies go back to normal.
• No coin purchases: during the event, the booster card says “Not available for purchase in coins”, and the Arcade Prize Center doesn’t sell these boosters either. Random Booster prizes, boxes, and sales can still give them.
• Different in-game name: the powered-up Vinnie Valentine SE card reads “Valentine Vinnie Powered Up!”, so don’t let the name swap confuse you.

That’s why copies you collect before the event are worth so much. On normal days these boosters sit in A-Tier or lower, but powered up, they can go head to head with S-Tier boosters, and you can’t simply top them up with coins once the event starts.

How to Get SE Boosters in Match Masters

Outside Power Up events, you can buy unlocked SE boosters with coins from the booster selection page, and special sales and store offers include them too. You don’t have to pay for all of them, though. These are the free ways to get SE boosters:

• Piñatas: in the Legends leagues, several Piñatas include SE boosters. For example, the Piñata Mini – Baby in the Legends League always contains 1 or 2 SE boosters, according to Candivore’s official probability list.
• Lucky Spin: only the Supreme Legends and Ultimate Legends Lucky Spins list a Random SE Booster, at a 2% chance. The Legends League Lucky Spin offers a Random Legendary Booster instead.
• Super Spin: in the Legends leagues, the Super Spin can land on a Small SE Box or a Big SE Box. Its rewards change from time to time, so check the current rewards before you spin.
• Events: the Events tab always has several events running, and some of them give high-value prizes such as SE boosters and Booster Shields to the winners. Match Rumble is one example: its Grand Prize can include an SE booster. Prizes change from event to event, so check the prize row before you pick one.
• Friends Fiesta: rewards depend on your level. At our 70,000+ trophy level, the 1,000-star reward was an SE Box with several random SE boosters. Lower levels may get different rewards.
• Sticker albums: completing an album or an album page can award an SE booster, but not every album or page gives one. Our Match Masters Stickers Guide covers album rewards and trading.
• Booster Clash: on Saturdays, you can stake a booster against an opponent’s booster of the same tier; the winner keeps the loser’s booster. It’s a way to win an SE booster, but you can lose yours just as easily, and Booster Shields don’t work there.

When a random reward such as an SE Box gives you boosters you don’t want, you can usually swap it by watching an ad, about 3 times. Each swap is random again, so a swap can also turn out worse.

SE Box Odds: Which SE Booster Are You Most Likely to Get?

The SE Box comes in two sizes: a Small SE Box with 3 SE boosters and a Big SE Box with 6. A Random SE Booster reward uses the same odds. Your chances depend on your league:

The table explains why Sweep It SE and Jelly SE feel so hard to collect. In the Legends League, they drop at only 4% and 3%, while Doctor Color SE, El Magneto SE, and UFO SE together make up about three out of four random SE rewards. The odds only even out in Ultimate Legends. Until then, every Sweep It SE and Jelly SE copy is worth protecting.

Tips for Using SE Boosters Without Wasting Them

• Stake carefully. A x5 stake multiplies your rewards, but a loss costs all five copies unless you have a Shield for each one. Stake your common SE boosters before your rare Sweep It SE or Jelly SE copies.
• Save Power Up boosters for Power Up days. In Supreme Legends or Ultimate Legends, don’t burn your UFO SE, Vinnie Valentine SE, and Foxy Roxy SE copies in ordinary matches. You can’t buy them with coins once the event starts, and not every event covers all three (see Booster Power Up above).
• Charge faster with the right perks. In our matches, Star Maker + Mini Cleo is the pair we use most for fast charging: Star Maker scatters blue pieces, and Mini Cleo copies a piece you choose. In modes where blue pieces don’t charge the booster, swap Star Maker for another perk. See our Match Masters Perks guide for all 14 perks.
• Use Energy Boost before a special piece. Activate it first, then trigger a bomb or a mode piece: the pieces that effect clears count as blue and can fill the booster bar in one go.
• Pick your SE booster for the mode. The mode matters as much as the booster. In Rainbow Energy, Energized, and Plunder Pirates, blue pieces don’t charge the booster the usual way, so charging perks and habits change. When a mode gives some colors more points, SE boosters that let you steer colors are worth a look: Jelly SE turns its jelly area into the color you match, Sweep It SE’s brooms sweep a whole color to the edge you swap them toward, and Foxy Roxy SE’s spray cans recolor a row or column. Vinnie Valentine SE fits here too, because its hearts carry two colors and match with either one. In our matches, the powered-up Valentine Vinnie is especially strong in these color modes. • Check the board before you charge. All Aboard SE can’t activate without yellow pieces, and Doctor Color SE can be restricted after Checkerboard.
