Match Masters On Fire is the bonus status you get for winning three matches in a row. While it’s active, every win pays double trophies and coins, so a good streak moves you up the leagues much faster. This page explains how to unlock On Fire, what it doubles, how long it lasts, and how to get it back after a loss.
The short version: On Fire has no timer. It stays on until you lose a match, which makes protecting the streak just as important as starting it. If you’ve reached Grand Master, an x3 win with the Booster Stakes Multiplier lights it up again without a new three-win streak.
What Is On Fire in Match Masters?
On Fire is a streak bonus. Once you win three games in a row, you’re On Fire, and from then on the trophies and coins you earn from each win are doubled. It works in Daily Modes, adventures, and time-limited PvP side events. You can check the current modes on our Match Masters game modes page.
On Fire isn’t available from the start. It unlocks once you’ve earned 4,000 trophies. Below that, winning three in a row won’t turn it on.
How to Get On Fire
There are two ways to turn On Fire on:
- Win three matches in a row: This is the standard way, and it works for every player with 4,000 or more trophies.
- Win a match with at least an x3 Booster Multiplier: A win at x3 or higher switches On Fire on right away, even if you had no streak. You need the Booster Stakes Multiplier for this, which unlocks in the Grand Master league and only works with Diamond, Legendary, and Special Edition boosters.
An x3 match puts three copies of your booster at stake, so losing it costs more than a normal loss. Use it to relight On Fire only when you have spare copies of the booster.
On Fire Rewards: What Gets Doubled
On Fire doubles exactly two things: the trophies and the coins you earn after winning a match. Stars, event points, and other rewards stay the same while you’re On Fire. You can see it in the screenshot from one of our matches below, and the official Match Masters help page on On Fire also lists only trophies and coins.
This is where On Fire and the Booster Stakes Multiplier are often mixed up. The multiplier covers much more: stars, trophies, coins, event points, and badge points are all multiplied by your stake. On Fire only boosts trophies and coins, but it costs nothing and lasts as long as your streak does.
Doubled trophies make On Fire the fastest way to climb the leagues, and doubled coins help if you’re saving for boosters. The bonus only pays out on wins, and the first loss ends it.
You can see it on the end-of-match screen. The game first shows your normal rewards. When On Fire kicks in, an ON FIRE ×2 badge appears under your rank, and flames land on the trophy and coin tiles, and those two values double. In our match, +300 trophies became +600 and 60 coins became 120. Everything else on the win screen, including the 3 stars, stayed the same.
How Long Does On Fire Last?
On Fire has no fixed duration. It stays active until the next time you lose a game, whether that takes two matches or twenty. There is no countdown and no gradual cool-down: one loss ends it, and you need a new three-win streak (or an x3 win) to get it back.
What Happened to the Timed On Fire Gift Links?
Some older guides mention a time limit because On Fire used to come from free gift links, too. Those links gave On Fire for a set number of games (2 or 3) or for a fixed time (20 or 30 minutes).

How to Keep Your On Fire Streak
On Fire is great for progress and coins, but only while the streak lasts. These habits help you keep it longer:
- Play your best booster: Every win pays double while you’re On Fire, so pick the booster you trust most. It’s not the time to test a new one.
- Save perks for On Fire matches: A perk that decides a close match is worth more when the win pays double trophies and coins. See our best booster and perk combinations.
- Weigh the x3 comeback: If you lose the streak and have spare Diamond, Legendary, or Special Edition copies, an x3 win relights On Fire at once and triples that match’s rewards. If a loss would cost you boosters you can’t replace, rebuilding a three-win streak is the safer route.
On Fire vs. the Fire Starter Event
Fire Starter is a separate, time-limited event built around winning streaks. You climb its leaderboard with your longest streak, and only your highest streak counts. If you lose after a 6-win streak, for example, your next streak needs more than 6 wins to raise your score. During Fire Starter, a win with the Booster Stakes Multiplier counts once for each staked booster, so an x5 win adds 5 to your event streak.
The two work side by side: your wins feed the Fire Starter streak and your On Fire status at the same time, but losing a match ends On Fire either way.
