Match Masters Teams: Join, Create & Win Team Rewards

An active Match Masters team gets you rewards you can’t earn on your own: boosters donated by teammates, the stickers missing from your albums, a reward from your team request every 24 hours, and prizes from team events like Team vs Team. The difference between a team that pays off and one that doesn’t is knowing how these features work and picking the right team.
You can join a team once you reach 1,100 trophies, and a team holds up to 50 players. Below, you will find how to join or create a team, how to spot an active team from its info screen, how requests, sticker sending, and booster donations work, and what you need to do to actually qualify for team event prizes. If you mainly want help with your albums, our Match Masters stickers guide explains trading and missing stickers in more detail.
How to Join a Team in Match Masters
You can join a team once you have collected 1,100 trophies. Open the Teams tab at the bottom of the Home screen, then:
- Browse the list on the Join Team tab, or use the Search tab to find a team by name.
- Tap a team to open its info and check its requirements.
- Tap Join on an Open team. A Closed (private) team needs an invite from its owner or an admin.
If a friend or teammate sends you a team invite link, opening it takes you straight to that team. An invite link is also the only way into a private team, which shows as Closed on the team info screen and doesn’t even appear in search.
Two things to know before you switch teams: the stars you earned in your old team don’t come with you, and if you join while a team event is already running, you won’t be eligible for that event’s rewards. You can take part from the next event on.
How to Create Your Own Team
Creating a team costs 1,000 coins, and you can’t be a member of another team at the time. On the Teams tab, tap CREATE A TEAM and fill in the form:

- Picture and name: The badge and team name other players see when they browse teams.
- Team Description and welcome message: The description is where most teams state their rules, such as the language used in the chat. The welcome message, shown to new members, is optional.
- Chat link: An optional WhatsApp, Messenger, or Discord link if your team also talks outside the game.
- Private Team: When this is on, your team shows as Closed. It doesn’t appear in search, and players can only join with an invite link from you or an admin.
- Notify me when players join: Sends you a notification whenever someone joins.
- Auto remove inactive players after 30 days: Keeps the team active by removing members who stop playing.
- Required trophies: The minimum number of trophies a player needs to join. Use the arrows to set it.
When everything is set, tap CREATE to pay the 1,000 coins and open your team.
A team can have up to 50 members. Keep in mind that team events only start once a team has at least 3 members, so a brand-new team needs a few players before it can earn event prizes. Sharing your invite link with friends, or posting your team in the official Match Masters Facebook group, are the usual ways to fill it. If your friends don’t play Match Masters yet, invite them to the game first: our Match Masters invite friends guide explains how game invites work and the Friends Fiesta rewards you earn as they progress. Once they reach 1,100 trophies, they can join your team.
Match Masters Team Info Screen Explained
Tap Info in the top-right corner of the Teams tab to see your team’s details. You see the same details when you tap another team, for example on the Global leaderboard of a team event, which makes this screen the best way to judge a team before you join.

- Members: How many players are in the team, out of 50.
- Activity Level: A label for how active the team is, such as Advanced.
- League Stars / Last League Stars: The stars the team has collected this season and last season. Stars mostly come from winning matches, so these numbers show how much the team actually plays.
- Weekly Donations: How many donations members have made this week.
- Required trophies: The minimum trophies needed to join.
- Team Type: Open teams accept new players; Closed teams are private and need an invite.
- Online Now: How many members are playing right now.
When you choose a team, look past the member count. A full team with low League Stars and few Weekly Donations won’t help you much in events or with stickers. A team with steady stars and regular donations usually will. Also read the team description above the details: many teams use it for their rules, such as the language spoken in the chat.
Team Roles: Owner, Admins, and Members
Every team has one owner, who can promote members to admins to help run the team. The buttons at the bottom of the team’s Info window depend on your role: members only see LEAVE, admins also get INVITE, and the owner has EDIT, INVITE, and LEAVE.
- EDIT: Opens the same form you filled in when creating the team. Change the name, description, privacy, or trophy requirement, then tap SAVE.
- INVITE: Shares an invite link, which is the only way for new players to join a private team.
The My Team tab lists every member with their trophies, Weekly Stars, and League Stars, so you can quickly see who is active. Tap MORE INFO next to a player to see what you can do:

- VIEW PROFILE, SEND STICKERS, DONATE: See the player’s profile, or send them a sticker or booster directly.
- PROMOTE TO ADMIN: Makes the member an admin. On an admin, this changes to GIVE OWNERSHIP and REMOVE ADMIN.
- REMOVE FROM TEAM: Removes the player, who can still rejoin later. In a private team, they need a new invite.
- BAN: Removes the player permanently, after a confirmation. You can also ban a player, or lift a ban with REMOVE BAN, by tapping their picture in the team chat, even after they have left.
The owner can also manage the chat: tap the pin icon on one of your own messages to pin it to the top of the chat (one pinned message at a time), or tap the trash icon on any message to delete it. Deleted messages show as “This message was deleted by the team owner.”
An owner who is inactive for 21 days is removed automatically, so a team doesn’t get stuck with an absent leader. Regular members are only removed for inactivity if the owner has turned on Auto remove inactive players after 30 days; otherwise, only the owner or an admin can remove them.
Helping Teammates: Requests, Stickers, and Boosters
Helping each other is the main everyday benefit of a team. It all happens from the buttons at the bottom of the team chat: the team request, Donate Booster, and Send Stickers. Helping pays off for you too: tapping Help on a teammate’s request gives you a reward such as coins, and some Main Events give event points for helping.

Team Requests
A team request is a reward your teammates unlock for you, and you can post one every 24 hours. Tap Team Request at the bottom of the chat to open the PICK AN ITEM TO REQUEST screen. It offers two items, such as a perk pack, a sticker, a booster, or tokens. Tap REQUEST under the one you want. If you don’t like either option, REPLACE lets you watch an ad for two new ones. The button shows how many replacements you have left, and it isn’t always available.

Your request then appears as a card in the team chat, with a Help button for your teammates and a Helps received counter, for example 3/4. Once enough teammates have helped, the item is yours. Each player can only help with a limited number of requests, so requests fill much faster in an active team. You can help your teammates the same way: tap Help on their request cards, and you get a small reward, such as coins, each time you help.
Asking for and Sending Stickers
To ask your team for a specific sticker, open the album, tap the missing sticker, and choose REQUEST STICKER. If you own a Sticker Token, you can tap USE in the same pop-up to unlock the sticker with it instead; without a Token, the USE button is inactive. In the Request Stickers window, tap ASK TEAM to post the request in your team chat, where any teammate with a spare copy can send it to you. SHARE LINK gives you a link to share with players outside your team too.

To help your teammates, tap Send Stickers in the team chat to open the SELECT A FRIEND screen. It only lists players you can send stickers to, which means teammates who need a sticker you have a spare copy of. Choose a player and send the sticker. If nobody currently needs any of your spares, the screen says so instead. Sticker gifts and trades share the same daily sending limits: 2 White and 1 Silver sticker per day, while Gold, Diamond, and Seasonal stickers can only be sent on special trading days. See the sticker trade limits for details.

Receiving works the same way for all stickers, whether they come from a teammate or another player: an INCOMING STICKERS pop-up shows who sent them; tap COLLECT to add them to your albums. The next screen, YOUR STICKERS, shows what you received and has a SEND STICKERS TO button with the sender’s name. Tap it to send stickers back to the same player who just sent you some, without going through the SELECT A FRIEND list. Sending your spares regularly is the best way to get help back when you are stuck on the last sticker of an album. For trading with players outside your team, see our stickers guide.
Donating and Receiving Boosters
Tap Donate Booster (the button with the blue arrow), then choose a specific teammate or Anyone. Every donation appears as a post in the team chat, such as “You donated a booster to the team” or “[player] donated a booster to [teammate]”. A booster sent to a named player can only be collected by that player; a booster sent to Anyone goes to the first teammate who taps Collect. Teammates can donate boosters to you in the same way. The rules:
- Booster donations unlock in the Legends League (30,000 trophies).
- Only Silver, Gold, and Diamond boosters can be donated.
- You can donate up to 5 boosters and collect up to 3 donated boosters every 24 hours.
- New team members have to wait 24 hours before they can collect donations.
- If a donation stays unclaimed for 72 hours, your next donation returns it to you.
To see which boosters are worth asking for, check our Match Masters boosters guide and tier list.
Match Masters Team Events
Team events run back to back, each lasting about one to three days, and the order changes from week to week. Match Masters posts the weekly team event schedule, with start and end times in UTC, on its official Recent Updates page. In the game, a running event appears as a banner at the top of the team chat with the time left. A few rules apply to all team events:
- The team needs at least 3 members for an event to start.
- Players who join after an event has started can’t earn that event’s rewards.
- Prizes must be collected within 24 hours after the event ends.
Team vs Team
In Team vs Team, your team goes head to head against a rival team, and the team that collects more shells wins the Grand Prize. The event screen has three tabs: Main shows your team against the rival, Team shows your teammates’ shells, and Global shows the leaderboard.

You earn shells from your matches. Tap HOW TO EARN on the event screen to see the current list. It looks like this, although the values can change between events:
| Action | Shells |
|---|---|
| Complete a match | 10 |
| Win a match | 50 |
| Landslide win | 60 |
| Win on fire game | 100 |
| Win a Solo | 950 |
You earn only one of these per match, not all of them added together. A landslide win pays 60 shells, not 10 + 50 + 60. That’s why winning a Solo is by far the fastest way to collect shells, and why wins while you are On Fire are worth twice as much as a normal win.

The most important rule: every member has to reach a minimum number of shells to be eligible for any reward. Until you reach it, the top of the screen shows how many more you need (“EARN … MORE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR REWARDS”). Even if your team wins, you get nothing if you didn’t reach your own minimum. The rewards are:
- Grand Prize: For every eligible member of the winning team.
- Team progress rewards: A personal prize bar at the bottom of the screen that pays out as your team’s shell total grows.
- Top collectors: An extra prize for the top three shell collectors in every team.
- Global badge: A badge for the top three teams on the global leaderboard.
Teams are matched fairly: every team is placed in one of four tiers based on the stars it has earned recently, and you only face rivals from the same tier. The tier name appears at the top of the event screen. Higher tiers have bigger prizes.
Team Box
Everyone collects stars as a team. When the event ends, every member receives the same box, and the box level depends on how many stars the team collected. The event screen shows an UPGRADE TO NEXT LEVEL bar with the stars needed for the next box. The bar looks empty again after each level, because the team starts counting toward the next one. Your earlier stars aren’t lost.
Sticker Mania
Sticker Mania works like Team Box, but the prize is a sticker. Every member gets the same sticker at the end, and the more stars the team collects, the rarer that sticker is. The same UPGRADE TO NEXT LEVEL bar shows how many stars the next sticker tier needs.
Star Heroes
The team collects stars toward a series of milestones. Each time the team reaches one, every member receives the prize shown on the bar. You have to be active in the event yourself to collect the rewards.
Team Solo
Each member plays a Solo challenge to earn Team Tokens, and every player can win the Solo only once. The more Team Tokens the team collects, the better the prize, and all members can collect a prize as soon as the team reaches it. This event rewards teams where most members actually play.
Team Reward Sprint
A shared reward bar that fills from real-money purchases made on the Match Masters website. You have to make an eligible purchase yourself to join in. It’s the only team event tied to spending, and you can ignore it if you play for free.
Stick-Together Team Sticker Album
Stick-Together is a sticker album whose stickers can only be earned through team events such as Star Heroes and Team Solo. You won’t get duplicates in this album until it is complete. After finishing it, reset the album before you claim the next batch of stickers, or the new ones can turn into duplicates. This is one more reason to stay in a team that plays its events.
How to Leave a Team
- Open the Teams tab and tap Info in the top-right corner.
- Tap LEAVE and confirm.
If you are the owner, you have to hand over the team first: promote a trusted member to admin, then open MORE INFO on them again and tap GIVE OWNERSHIP. After that, you can leave. If you are the last member, leaving deletes the team.
Leaving during a team event means you lose that event’s rewards, and the stars you earned don’t transfer to your new team. If you plan to switch, the safest time is right after an event ends and you have collected your prizes.
Tips to Get More From Your Team
- Pick an active team, not just a big one: Check Online Now, League Stars, and Weekly Donations on the team info screen before you join.
- Reach your Team vs Team minimum early: Until you reach your minimum, your team’s win doesn’t give you anything. A single Solo win covers a large part of it.
- Collect prizes on time: Team event prizes disappear 24 hours after the event ends.
- Don’t switch mid-event: Joining a team while an event is running gets you nothing from that event.
- Help others first: Tapping Help on team requests earns you rewards such as coins. Sending your spare stickers and helping with requests also keeps the team active, and teammates are more likely to help you with your last missing sticker.

Match Masters Teams FAQ
How many trophies do you need to join a team in Match Masters?
You need 1,100 trophies to join a team. Each team can also set its own trophy requirement, so some teams ask for much more.
How much does it cost to create a team?
Creating a team costs 1,000 coins, and you can’t be in another team at the time.
How many players can be in a Match Masters team?
Up to 50. Team events need at least 3 members to start.
How do team requests work in Match Masters?
You can post one request every 24 hours and pick one of two offered items. Teammates help by tapping Help on your request card in the chat, and once the Helps received counter is full, the item is yours.
Why can’t I donate boosters to my team?
Booster donations unlock in the Legends League (30,000 trophies), and only Silver, Gold, and Diamond boosters can be donated. You may also have reached the limit of 5 donations in 24 hours.
Why didn’t I get my Team vs Team reward?
Most likely you didn’t reach the minimum number of shells, which every member needs to be eligible. Other common reasons are joining the team after the event started, or not collecting the prize within 24 hours after the event ended.
Do I keep my stars if I change teams?
No. Stars you earned in a previous team stay with that team, and new members don’t add stars to the team leaderboard until the next event starts.
